So its opening day for the baseball season, and honestly I totally forgot about baseball until I heard someone mention it this morning. I haven't thought about baseball lately since the end of the month has been so cold. In fact, we are looking at nor'easter for tomorrow, that is either going to bring us rain or snow. Right now the weather models show more rain than snow for our area, which is good, I really don't want to see anymore snow right now. I especially don't want to see any kind of significant accumulation given how well my neighbors shovel snow...
But back to baseball. I had originally written something about being a Yankee fan in enemy territory, but my wifes baseball story of the day is much funnier. I was going to write out all the details, but I am now feeling lazy. Lets just say that she called the Yankees and said that a friend of ours is a huge Red Sox's fan (she isn't), and then tried to fix the situation. I think she pulled it off fairly well for that big of a mess up.
In running news, I ran an uneventful 4 miles this morning, giving me 133 miles for the month. I am now sitting at 365 miles for the year, kind of behind where I want to be, but I have been pretty lax in weekly miles lately. That needs to change soon as I need to build up some miles before the overnight relay I am running at the beginning of June.
Also, apparently today is world back up day, so you know, back up your data. Use a USB drive, external hard drive, cloud storage (lots of free options out there from Microsoft, Amazon, Mozy, and my favorite Dropbox), whatever to back your stuff up. As I have had a hard drive fail on me before, let me tell you it is not fun to try and remember everything that you have lost.
Oh, and speaking of Microsoft, Windows 8 already, really?
And you said that you weren't going to blog about me... : )
